Big fraud of donation through QR code in the name of Ayodhya Ram temple, VHP busted it, police took action

Ayodhya hums with excitement as the eagerly awaited consecration of the majestic Ram temple on January 22 approaches, fostering a widespread sense of faith and zeal throughout the community. Yet, amid this fervent atmosphere, worries surface as deceptive individuals engage in cyber fraud under the pretext of seeking donations for the Ram Temple, leading the Vishwa Hindu Parishad to pledge resolute measures against such illicit activities.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad exposed

The representative of the Global Hindu community stated that a fraudulent profile, under the name “Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh,” has been established on a social media platform, accompanied by a QR code. The misleading content urges donations in support of the Ram temple. Upon discovery by members of the Global Hindu Council, a conversation was initiated with the perpetrator via phone.

QR Code Scam Alert: Fraudulent Scheme Targets Devotees Donating to Ayodhya  Ram Temple Construction

The individual soliciting contributions for the construction of the Ram temple emphasized, “Generously contribute, and your unique identifier will be recorded; upon the temple’s completion, an invitation will be extended to all supporters in Ayodhya.” Speaking from Ayodhya, amidst ongoing tensions between Muslim and Hindu communities, efforts are underway to fund the construction of their respective temples.
